To make Generals more versatile and not just cosmetics, they could have 1 use per game BB abilities. This wouldn't make BB abilities as game-warping as they were in D1.

Just to add ideas. BBS could also be available only after sort of trade-off. Sacrificing a mana crystal or some hp to be able to trigger them just once.

I dont think one time use abilities are the way to go, but I do agree that generals could do more than being a skin

I miss old abilities.

Maybe not the same way, but generals should bring something to the game not just cosmetic.

I think the whole concept of old abilities should be abandoned.
The problem was too many synergies with them.
You can, for example, make bbs not be considered normal spells and not trigger chakri avatar, bloodrage mask, etc.
